From Award-winning Participant to Assessor: Wizpresso at the HKICTA Mentoring Session 

On 29 July, Wizpresso founder Calvin Cheng joined the HKICTA Mentoring Session to share his experience and insights from the Hong Kong ICT Awards – FinTech Award, highlighting a unique journey from award participant to assessor.  
 
Wizpresso first took part in the HKICT FinTech Award in 2021, competing in the Regulatory Technology and Risk Management category. Through this process, the team had the opportunity to present its RegTech solution to a distinguished panel of judges, demonstrate the impact of AI-powered automation on regulatory workflows, and refine its value proposition against rigorous evaluation criteria, winning the Grand Prize.  

This year, Wizpresso is also proud to support the HKICT Awards 2026 – FinTech Award as the Official AI and Data Partner. Leveraging Wizpresso’s AI-driven due diligence platform, Adnoto, the partnership enhances the awards’ submission and vetting workflow, enabling more efficient, consistent, and transparent processing of applications. The collaboration reflects the shared goal of combining human judgment with data-driven insights to uphold high standards in assessing fintech excellence. 

The Hong Kong ICT Awards (HKICTA) is a territory-wide programme established in 2006 to recognise and promote outstanding information and communications technology inventions and applications, encouraging innovation and excellence across Hong Kong’s ICT community. Within this framework, the FinTech Award focuses on solutions that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen regulatory compliance, and enable new business models in the financial sector, including banking, insurance, securities trading, and asset management.
